First Week Of Media Class

Hey guys, this is my first blog of the school year, so let me introduce myself.  I am an 8th grader at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School and one of my hobbies is fishing. Something I hope to learn in this class is how to properly use cameras.  But getting back to my first blog of the school year and how my first week in CKTV has been....  Last week we got our partners for the 1st quarter project.  My partner's name is Carter.  He is an excellent partner and is really being helpful in guiding me towards success.  Also, it is stressing to learn the morning announcements because no one wants to make a mistake.  Finally, I am still trying to get used to the Weebly site.  Here's more details about my first week as a CKTV member.
During this new period, my partner Carter has been great!  He has been guiding me how to use this site.  For example, he taught me how to create links on my webpage.  This is not the only thing Carter has taught me to do.  He is also currently guiding me how to use Google in different ways like how to list down items on Google drive.  Also, the way he guides me is great because he is very specific.  For example, because Carter is specific on teaching me how to use this site, he has helped me to avoid making unnecessary mistakes.  If he was not so specific, learning to use this site would have been more confusing and taken me longer.
Learning how to make the morning announcements has also been stressful.  This is because there is a large variety of jobs needed to make these announcements in the morning.  Each has specific responsibilities and learning all of this is hard to do in a short period of time.  For example, there is a director that tells everyone when to switch between cameras turn on fade, and turn off fade and to switch between mikes.  Then there's the person who titles the background. This person's job is to make the titles.  But the tricky part to this job is switching the slides showing what the speaker is talking about in words, like lunch and wiki.  Another position is the person who switches the mikes and controls how loud the person talking is.  This job is hard because you have to switch the mikes before the other speaker starts talking.  These jobs have their own unique challenges that make them kind of tricky to learn if you want to properly know how to use the equipment to make the morning announcement.
But even though I am using the Weebly site it is still difficult for me to get used to this site because there are so many things that need to be done.  For instance, there are links, uploading images and most difficult of all, the actaul WRITING to do!  Luckily, I was helped by my partner and friends in the media productions group.  This allowed me to know how to use this site and do my blog.  But even with my partner and friends helping me, I still struggled with some things, like uploading images to my Weebly site.
Anyway, thank you for reading my blog about how my first week of media went and the things I am stressing and struggling to do, like the morning announcements and posting on the Weebly site.  Hope you found my blog interesting enough to continue reading my posts.
